Built for an Evolving Business
MoonStone Studio was never treated as a finished idea. The website was built to support what the business is today while leaving room for what it may become.
What began primarily as an online shop has continued to grow. As new services have taken shape, the website has changed alongside the business.
We didn't try to predict every future need. Instead, we built a clear, adaptable structure that could change as those needs became real.
The Shop at the Beginning
MoonStone Studio began with handcrafted ritual oils, bath salts, and intentional products. The first version of the website was built around that work: creating a home for the products and a clear way for people to explore the relationships between them.
As the collection grew, the shop developed its own visual and organizational language.

More Than a Storefront
MoonStone Studio began with handcrafted ritual oils, bath salts, and other intentional products. The first version of the website needed to give those products a home of their own and create a straightforward way for people to discover and purchase them.
We built a custom ecommerce experience around the character of the business rather than starting with a premade storefront. Products, collections, shipping, and checkout all needed to work reliably, but the shop also needed to feel like MoonStone.
That meant treating ecommerce as part of the website rather than something separate from it.

Giving Each Scent Its Own Identity
MoonStone's products can be explored through collections, scents, and intentions. Each offers a different way into the shop and a different way of understanding the products.
For the scent collections, we created a visual identity for each one, with its own color, imagery, and scent profile. Together they form a larger system while giving Aphrodite, Hecate, Isis, and the others room to feel distinct.

Following the Thread
When someone moves from the larger scent collection into an individual scent, the visual language comes with them. The color and imagery associated with that scent continue into its product archive, creating a distinct setting for the products it contains.
The experience changes to reflect Aphrodite, but the structure remains familiar. Another scent can use the same system and feel entirely its own.

All the Way to the Product
The same language continues into the individual product page. Aphrodite's color and imagery remain present while the product's collection, scent, and intentions become part of the experience.
These relationships aren't treated as background data. They help shape how the product is presented and give people different paths for continuing through the shop.
Making Room for New Growth
MoonStone began as an online shop, but the business didn't stay there. As Reiki became a larger part of the work, the website needed to support a different kind of experience.
Services brought new needs: space to explain the practice, introduce the practitioner, and give people a clear path from learning about Reiki to scheduling a session.
Rather than fitting that work into the existing shop, we expanded the website around what the business was becoming.

A Place for the Practice
Selling a product and introducing a personal service ask different things of a website. Reiki needed room for people to understand the practice, know what to expect, and meet a practitioner before deciding whether a session felt right for them.
We created a dedicated service experience around those needs, giving the work space to be understood rather than treating it like another item in the shop.

From Learning to Scheduling
Once someone understands the service and feels ready to book, the next step should feel like a continuation of the experience rather than a departure from it.
We integrated scheduling directly into the service flow, allowing people to move from learning about a service to choosing a session and finding a time without losing their place in the website.
Structure without Rigidity
MoonStone's website is built around a custom content system designed to provide structure without fixing the business in place.

Pages are assembled from a defined set of reusable sections, each built around a particular kind of content or function. The system creates consistency across the website while still allowing pages to take the form their content requires.
The admin experience was shaped around the same principle. Page settings and SEO controls were added directly where they were needed, without introducing additional plugins or systems for features the website could support itself.
As MoonStone changes, the structure can change with it. New needs don't have to be anticipated years in advance or forced into an existing template. The system can expand when those needs become real.

Built for What Comes Next
A business doesn't stand still, and its website shouldn't become an obstacle when things change. We build adaptable websites around the work you're doing now, with room to respond as that work grows and takes new forms.
